He will speak on how he’s worked with many of the local high schools on putting different career trades events together throughout the school year.
As a member of OHPBA come learn how you to get involved with workforce development. Be able to have first-hand knowledge of students wanting to be involved in our trades industry, how to help support high schools and what upcoming events would benefit you and your business.
A career in construction offers good pay and benefits, ability to continue education, potential to advance, and opportunities to be your own boss. There is an amazing sense of accomplishment achieved when a person helps design or build a stadium, bridge, high rise or hospital.
Construction, the nation’s largest single industry, is in dire need of more skilled workers. By 2020, the Oregon construction industry will need over 18,000 individuals to fill permanent, well-paying construction careers that exist in all areas: skilled trades, management administrative, and professional support, and design and engineering. Explore job opportunities in each category, including job descriptions, training and skills needed, and wage information.
